STAYING FIT WITH A COMING BABY

As a soon-to-be father I'm concerned for the health of my child (my wife won't let me find out more) and the health of my pregnant wife. She is my world and I can't think of any harm and I prize good health about all else. If she is healthy I'm sure that the birth will make her happy above all else. She'll be riding Cloud-9 whatever that is.

What is a good weight to be for Health?

Many people have written words best weight to be and many doctors have different opinions about that very topic. Just being comfortable isn't enough, there's the whole event of childbirth to consider.

Not going by friends experience isn't enough but it's a good place to start. Gain a little weight about 30 pounds with baby but that depends on the pre-pregnancy weight. Perhaps most importantly is be on a regular exercise program with nothing heavy duty. Perhaps the most important exercise to do is regular walking. This will help with the big event as I've been told by women friends that had their big day and I guess are having a big life without staying big afterward.

I will say this, get a doctor you trust to give the couple tips you both will need, everybody is different so take all the wisdom you get with a grain of salt and do your own research and find what's right for you and your partner or husband. I will repeat that again.

Some tips I've acquired for the pregnancy: Women, take the time for YOU, it'll pay off in the end. When you take breaks, and you will, elevate your feet they're doing a lot of extra work. DON'T be embarrassed about the new you, YOU'VE got a big job and guess what. The JOB is only starting, you still have to raise a happy, healthy child. That is the part we're scared to death about and excited about.

Why won't she let me find out if it's a boy or girl? The suspense is killing me and I won't around her back and ask the doctor and get the information without telling her. I love her and want to take care of her and the he/she that's coming.
