PREGNANCY DUE DATE CALCULATOR MADE EASY

Did you just discover you are pregnant? Congratulations! One of the first questions you will most likely have is when am I due? Unlike some would lead you to believe, finding your due date is not that difficult. One of the biggest things to keep in mind though is that regardless of how, or who, a calculation is just that, a rough idea. Your baby may make their grand appearance 2 weeks ahead of schedule or 3 weeks later than your due date. It really is out of your hands, so always keep that in mind. In fact, only about 4 in 100 women deliver on their due date.

Pregnancy Due Date Calculator

One of the oldest and most reliable ways to calculate your pregnancy due date is by simply doing it yourself with a calendar.

Since we know that a pregnancy is approximately 280 days, or 40 weeks, you can take the date of your last period and 40 weeks to it.

Another way is to take the date of your last period and add 9 months and 7 days to it. So, if Jan 1 was the date of your last menstrual cycle, you can add 9 months to it, which is Oct 1, and then add 7 days. Your due date would be Oct 8th.

While knowing your pregnancy due date may seem trivial at times, it really is important. The doctors use it to determine when to run certain prenatal tests among other things.
